It wasn’t one she was proud of mind you, but it was a job none the less, she had the experience and it paid good money, plus it meant that she could spend the day with her daughter because of it. She loved spending time with Ella, just like any mother would, and she wasn’t going to waste time doing nothing when she could be earning money. Waitressing paid nothing, stripping....well stripping paid A LOT more than waitressing, especially because she was hot. Back in Miami she had worked two jobs, putting ella in daycare which she hated herself for. She hadn’t been able to spend as much time with her as she had liked, but it had meant that she had the extra cash. When she went off the rails her parents immediately had a block put on her trust fund so that she couldn’t spend it. It had been tough but she had gotten through it without going back home. But now she was back, because she knew that she always had to come back home at one point. Lily didn’t know she’d gotten a job at a strip club, she had told her sister it was a waitressing job. She left Ella in Lily’s care, since meeting, the two had bonded, and she was glad. She and her sister had been so close, she hated the thought of her daughter not liking her. however she personally didn’t know how anyone could not have liked lily because she was smart, beautiful and sweet....okay well there were reasons but she didn’t even care, Lily was her sister, she always had her back. Mckenna had been quite the bitch sometimes in high school, she didn’t so much now, and she had to be responsible. She was always the one trying new things, experimenting....which was how she had gotten into drugs. She was a daredevil and she still was, though now her daring didn’t include the latest craze of drug. It now included trying out the latest household cleaning product, or a new toy for ella, wow her life had gotten so much more interesting. She wouldn’t change having Ella for the world though, nothing could have made her change her mind about having her child. It may have sounded selfish, but she had used the excuse to get clean, get help....because she had needed it. Ella had saved her from herself. If she hadn’t gotten pregnant, who knows...she could have been dead by now. She said goodnight to her daughter and kissed her forehead I love you baby she whispered be good for auntie lily she smiled looking over at her sister and saying thank you and goodbye too I love you too mommy she said kissing her back. Mckenna had been looking around the place and smiling, strutting her stuff and sliding down the pole, winking at the odd guy. It was so sleazy and dirty but she did it for Ella so that she could have the best life, it sounded twisted but it made good money, she wanted the money to buy her things, and not just the essentials. She wanted to buy her toys and be able to spoil her. maybe she wouldn’t quite have the life that she had growing up, having had everything but she was going to do a damn good job of trying. Her daughter was the one good thing to come out of her life so far and she would be damned if she was going to screw her life up like she had her own. That was not going to happen as long as she lived. She had been shocked at how responsible she had grown having had ella. She was far from her drug taking days and that was what she needed. She didn’t need anything or anyone messing her life up now. She was just finishing off her set when she saw a face she knew too well. She was just finishing her first set so mckenna quickly went to the backstage and grabbed her robe, going over to talk to him. Ben had a rough couple of days actually week he had been working open till close every night this week. He agreed to it because his co worker was in the hospital and would not be out for quite a while which meant he would be working a hell of a lot more. He really didn't want to but he was not the type to say no when he was needed and he isn't the type to walk away from something either. Ben went home and took a shower after his shift and tried to relax, he even fell asleep for a while before going out with friends.

It was his friends birthday and he wanted to hit up a strip joint, Ben was not happy but he went anyway and spent most of his time at the bar. Some what into his fifth drink he turned to see who was on stage and froze in his spot. Ben saw that it was McKenna, his old flame or girlfriend rather. He had not seen her since he walked away and out of her life. Hmm he thought to himself this is interesting, he wondered what brought her back to town and why now.

He watched her as she danced and realized exactly when she spotted him sitting at the bar. Ben finished his drink and ordered another he was going to need it. Ben sat there thinking of what he would say to her after all these years he missed her at times and he thought about her all the time. He was cut off his thought process by her coming his way, he took a deep breath before speaking.

" Hello Mckenna." he wasn't sure what else to say, he felt nervous all of the sudden and smirked before finishing his drink and ordering another. " Mckenna can I buy you a drink?"
