appearance cherie has a rather... unique sense of style, and could easily be spotted in a crowd - if she didn't stand at at a dinky 5'2". Her dark, wavy hair almost reaches the middle of her back, often emphasised with highlights in various shades of blonde, brown and red. she has also developed a reputation for her habit of adding feathers and beads into her hair, which can sometimes come under ridicule. her taste in clothes often varies considerably considering what she's doing, where she's going and what mood she's in. due to her considerably low income, she does her best to do what she can with what she has, devoting whole days to scouring various charity shops and thrift stores or going through her closet and seeing what she can customise. she's also a magpie for anything that has been reduced because a button is missing or the zipper is stuck because she can always find a way to fix it somehow. however, if you ask her, she probably won't tell you that she's wearing one of her childhood skirts as a shirt. her final signature trait is usually the amount of jewellery that she wears, specifically rings - if cherie isn't wearing at least three different rings then you can always tell something is wrong. she has a few piercings, including two nose rings, her ears pierced multiple times (one with a small gauge) and her cartilage pierced. she also has an array of tattoos already at such a young age: an arrow on the insider of her right index finger, a triangle between the knuckles of her left middle finger, two crossed arrows behind her right ear, a fly on her right shoulder, a plaster on her left knee, a rotten apple on the inside of her left ankle and several small tattoos around the bottom of her right ankle/foot.
personality although some people may be somewhat daunted by cherie's initial appearance, she is a delightfully kind-hearted and selfless young lady. she can never do enough for anybody, be it one of the customers in the diner or the old lady who lives in the apartment below. the downside of this is that she spends so much time putting everybody else before herself that she can end up running herself into the ground for several days without even realising. thankfully, one of her friends usually manages to intervene and sort the poor girl out before she makes herself ill with exhaustion. not even bad health can keep cherie down, she forces herself to keep on going, hopped up on energy drinks and every kind of flu medicine or crazy herbal remedy going until she finally has to admit defeat. another weakness is her naivete. it doesn't matter how bad things may get or how many times she falls (or is pushed) down, she cheerfully picks herself up, dusts herself off and carries on, convinced that the silver lining is waiting for her just around the corner. this frame of kind has resulted to some toxic relationships in the past that she has narrowly escaped from. she has learnt from these experiences and is much more aware when entering relationships, although she hasn't had a boyfriend for some time now. it has put her a little on edge sometimes, although it may not be noticeable, she often becomes very upset whenever she does something wrong and apologizes profusely. cherie is genuinely nice to everyone and has little trouble walking up to people and plucking up a conversation, although she has begun to reign in this behaviour a little bit as she has learned that not everybody appreciates her out of the blue attempts of conversation.
